Nomado Designs Tokyo Beermat

We designed this cool beermat inspired by 1950's Japanese hotel luggage tags as part of our Traveler's Notebook Tokyo Edition launch event in April 2024. We wanted a fun design that was travel-related, Japanese and vintage style.

The city of Tokyo has two official emblems: the monshō and the shinboru. The crest is a six-rayed stylized sun with a dot in the center, while the symbol is a stylised Ginkgo biloba leaf. The city has two official flags, featuring each emblem.

Hot tip : use the beermat as a beer meter. Place your beer glass on the mat, if you can read the text you need another beer!
