What could be more analogue than a classic wood and graphite pencil?
The original Blackwing 602, reputed to be the world's best pencil, had a lot of famous fans: Legendary Grammy, Emmy, Pulitzer and Academy Award winners have created with the Blackwing 602 pencil. The list of known users includes John Steinbeck, Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Bernstein and Chuck Jones who proudly used Blackwings to create Bugs Bunny.
Unfortunately, the Eberhard Faber Blackwing 602 was officially discontinued in 1998. Cal Cedar, the world’s leading supplier of wooden pencil slats, whose family’s roots in the pencil industry date back to the mid 19th century decided to revive the iconic Blackwing brand in 2010. These new Blackwings feature California genuine incense-cedar and premium Japanese graphite.
